Pardon Us While We Get All ‘Goofball Toxic’ on Ted Nugent, But …

He’s getting major heat for this next-level racist picture … but criticism is like fuel for this guy.

We’ve all heard of Ted Nugent. He loves to say racist things, he loves guns, and he takes every piece of criticism as a badge of honor, or something. Really, it seems to encourage him. It’s a sort of juvenile contrarian attitude that’s applauded by his adoring fans. But even people who know what to expect from him are still pretty taken aback when he shares something so blatantly bigoted.

And the picture itself? It’s beyond your garden variety racism. Just looking at it makes us a little queasy:

Before all the braindead dishonest lying scum politically correct racist hatepunks get all goofball toxic on us here, I am simply promoting a brilliant entrepreneur in Detroit that created a clever bussiness [sic]. His words, not mine. Ya gotta luv this guy!! When in doubt whip it out!

First of all — and least importantly of all — this isn’t real. Like, it’s clearly photoshopped. And we’re not just saying that because they said “our’s.”

Second of all, “hatepunks get all goofball toxic on us” sounds like something that you’d make up to make fun of folksy expressions. Fake folksy. Fauxksy, if you will?

But, obviously, it uses slurs, it reinforces the damaging stereotype that black people steal (which is extra absurd, since white people stole black people, as well as land on every inhabited continent — so we really don’t want to wade into that discussion). And then it has those vile caricatures that belong in our nation’s shameful history and not on the internet, let alone on Facebook in 2016. It’s outrageous, but Ted Nugent isn’t going to listen to anyone.

In case you’re wondering, this van image has been circulating on various racist websites for a while now. Racist websites other than Ted Nugent’s Facebook page, we mean.
